Understanding The Basic Concept

At first glance you may think that these blocks may be to complicated for a child, or even yourself. Fear not, the basic concept is quite simple.

Here is a simple tower similar to what you would build with plain blocks.

Add a few
ledger blocks to create ledges.
Notice that the
lower ledger protrudes on each side of the tower, you can just barely see it on the right-side. sorry

Then embellish your tower by placing the narrow decorative blocks on the ledges.

Connect two towers by using the ledges to support a bridge.

Here you can see changes are made to the back tower to carry the Roman Arch
Notice the arch used to properly space the towers.

With the 3pc Roman Arch in place
notice how the radius of the arch continues through
the two ledger blocks.

Notice the continual placement of blocks to
create the ledges.

Make a few adjustments to carry the second
3pc Roman Arch

Make an adjustments to the tower on the right so that it is the same height as the front tower.

Fully embellished you can see by using the ledges how they give your Castle depth and dimension. This is key. Remember these basic concepts as you look at the pictures on the website and you will have a strong grasp on how things are constructed. It's actually quite simple.

However you must remember that there is no wrong way with building blocks.
You can can stack them any way you like
just save the fancy pieces for the top
